The Journey of Milk at 360°: How the Association of Milk Producers Celebrated World School Milk Day with UAL Students!

Every year, on the last Wednesday of September, the world unites around healthy nutrition for children — celebrating World School Milk Day. This event highlights the importance of milk as a source of essential nutrients for child development. Dairy products provide the body with high-quality protein, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, iodine, and vitamins B2 and B, and also contain immunoglobulins that increase resistance to viruses and bacteria.

The Association of Milk Producers (AMP) actively supports such initiatives and promotes the consumption of dairy products as the superfood of modernity, because youth awareness and the role of milk in ensuring the healthy functioning of the body are of critical importance.

On the occasion of the holiday, a driving program in the format "MILK 360°: From Idea to the Product of the Future" was prepared for students of the Ukrainian Agrarian Lyceum (UAL). The day was opened by AMP General Director Hanna Lavreniuk, who conducted a powerful educational interactive session for the youth, clearly demonstrating that the dairy sector is not at all about stereotypes, but about modern innovations and deep knowledge.

To reveal the full potential of the sector, with the assistance of AMP, an exclusive field expedition was organized for the lyceum students to a modern commercial dairy farm of an AMP member farm — LLC "Kyschentsi". Here, teenagers saw firsthand the standards of cutting-edge European livestock farming and even created their own mini video tour.

And the practical part within the walls of the lyceum impressed with its business dynamics:

  • "The Product Journey" — a detailed analysis of the product life cycle from raw material to shelf.
  • "Milk Detective" — a professional analysis of labeling, compositions, and labels.
  • Milk Challenge "Product 2040" — development and pitching of innovative dairy startups of the future.

Milk is much more than just a familiar product on a supermarket shelf. It is a complex and high-tech "from field to shelf" chain — the result of harmonious labor of farmers, the work of cutting-edge commercial dairy farms, reliable processors, and multi-level quality control. Going through this journey at a full 360 degrees through experiments and practice, the youth break myths and become convinced: behind every glass stands big science and titanic labor.

By investing in expert awareness today, we raise a generation that consciously chooses health, innovation, and support for the Ukrainian producer!
